Our Mission Statement:
Providing local Savannahians and visiting guests from around the world excellent customer service in a traditional Irish pub setting with Old World charm along with fine spirits and quality food, within a relaxed, safe, and inviting atmosphere. While honoring our military members past and present, we strive to preserve a welcoming environment for lively conversations complemented by world-renowned troubadours singing songs of Ireland and American folk.
Kevin Barry’s officially opened on October 31, 1980 at midnight. And, for you history buffs, November 1, 1980 was the 70th anniversary of the execution of Kevin Barry.
ABC News cited Kevin Barry's Irish Pub as a Top 5 Irish Pub to visit for St Patrick's Day* and was ranked in American's Best & Top 1o Irish Pubs*. Kevin Barry's has also been recognized as one of the top military bars in the world.* With that being said Kevin Barry's has been considered a home away from home for many service members who have passed through our doors over the last 33 years from Three Star Generals to a countless number of E1's of every branch of service. Our Hall of Heroes, on the second floor, is a testament to how much we appreciate our men and women in the armed forces and we welcome all those who serve, past or present, to stop by Kevin Barry's Pub and make yourself at home.
Since we opened our doors countless numbers of friendships have formed, old friends who may not have seen or spoken to one another in years have unexpectedly run into one another and reconnected, and we like to brag about the many others who have met the loves of their lives within these walls. We like to think so many people have connected in Kevin Barry's because we don't have televisions blasting with nonsense that takes away from old school "facetime". You remember what that is, right? It's where you actually sit down and have a conversation with someone face to face?
Don't believe us? Come by for a spell and let the magic of Kevin Barry's take you to a place you never expected!
In October 2015, just before Kevin Barry's Irish Pub, celebrated its 35th Anniversary, Irish Pubs Global reached out to Tara, our Public Relations Manager, to write about Kevin Barry's Irish Pub and Vic Power.
